I hired Fathom for about a year and thought that the results were minimal at best. Their entire strategy consists of basically key word stuffing your pages and meta data. If you just cannot find a few interns to do that then I guess it is worth the $2k a month Fathom will want. Their technical analysis was OK if you are a non-tech or non-seo exec, which I assume is who seeks them out most of the time, but the tools at SEOmoz are much better and cheaper. Overall, I would not recommend them. For the rates they charge, you can go with a smaller agency that is willing to really work hard for you and not just show you their pretty power points.
